Class Overview
Topics that will be covered this semester:
-Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs

-Injury Prevention and Safety
-Mental, Emotional, and Social Health
-Nutrition
-Personal and Community Health
These topics will be taught in detail by the teacher and students will deepen their understanding of the content through group and individual projects and assignments.

Discipline Procedure
This class will follow a ticket system. When a student breaks a class rule or does not follow a classroom procedure, they will turn a ticket. Each colored ticket represents a different type of discipline. This chart is listed below:
Green: Each student begins the day on green
Yellow: This is a warning. If a student turns his ticket to yellow, there is no punishment.
Orange: If a student turns his ticket to orange, he will be assigned Standards (writing sentences about his misbehavior.) These will be due the following school day.
Red: If a student turns his ticket to red, he will be assigned the standards from his orange ticket as well as a detention for the following school day.
Homework Policy
Homework is due at the beginning of the class period of the day it is due. Homework turned in after this will be deducted ten percentage points for each day it is late.
